  • What is Integrity?

Integrity is a user-friendly GIS software solution, powered by Esri’s ArcGIS Server technology. There are currently two “viewers” for Integrity – Silverlight (desktops and laptops) and iOS (Apple devices). Your choice of viewer depends entirely on what mapping goals your organization needs to be able to accomplish and, more specifically, from where you need to be able to accomplish them.

    • For more information on the desktop/laptop version of Integrity powered by Silverlight, head over to our Take a Tour Page.
    • If interested in the mobile version of Integrity, check out the Mobile Page.

  • What Integrity Support Resources Can I Expect?

Our mission is to make sure that Integrity GIS consistently helps you get more out of your GIS mapping program. Some of the resources we have in place to assist you are:

    Hosting and Support Scope

All-in-One Hosting: Integrity clients who host their Integrity GIS web maps with us always get the newest versions of Integrity as well as whatever support they need to insure their Integrity experience keeps running smoothly over time.

Self-Hosted: Some of our clients opt to host Integrity on their own servers. In this scenario they receive one year of Integrity maintenance and support along with their purchase – after the first year it is an optional, paid service.

Of course you can always just email or contact us directly at gis@midlandgis.com or by calling us at 877.375.8633.

  • Can I host Integrity on my own server(s)?

Yes, you can host Integrity internally. Midland GIS will provide the onsite setup and encrypted source code to Integrity. Customizations can be made through a settings file. Midland GIS will also provide service packs by download for new and updated functionality in accordance with our Hosting Options.

    You will need the following:

    1. Windows Server with IIS
    2. ArcGIS Server Workgroup/Enterprise (Standard or Advanced)
    3. ArcGIS Desktop
    4. SQL Express/SQL (Depends on ArcGIS Server license)
    5. Static IP address
  • If we self-host Integrity, do we own the source code?

What you would be doing in order to self-host Integrity is purchasing a license of the source code. So essentially the answer is no, you do not own the Silverlight or iOS Viewer’s source code but you retain a license to utilize them.

Our development team has spent nearly two years developing both the Silverlight and iOS Viewers from scratch – Midland GIS wouldn’t be able to support any updates or add-ons to Integrity if we transferred ownership of the source code to self-hosted clients. Licensing Integrity in this way insures that our development team can continue making improvements to your Integrity product, regardless of where its hosted.

Note The map settings file built into the Integrity Silverlight Viewer will allow you to do a large amount of customization.  If there are modifications above and beyond the map settings file, we are more than willing to work with you to build in custom modules as part of your licensing agreement.  In addition, any custom updates that are done to the primary source code by Midland GIS, will automatically be provided to you based on our annual maintenance and support agreement.
  • What are some customization options for the Silverlight Viewer?

Some of the common customization options for your Integrity Silverlight Viewer are:

    • Map Title
    • Modules – layers, bookmarks, XY tool overview, rotate map, and file manager
    • Map Services – which service to add to map including your own ArcGIS server services and other services in the same coordinate system
    • Fields – which layers will be searchable/identifiable at which read level
    • Related Tables with read level security
    • Watermark – show watermark on map and print page
    • Mandatory Login – true/false
    • Set levels for export/buffer
    • Customize Print and legal disclaimer
    • Dashboard customization
    • Charting (Pie/Bar/Range/Line)
    • Editing capabilities
    • Picture/Video/Hyperlink Customization
    • Property Report Card
  • Is the Integrity iOS (Mobile) Viewer included with our Silverlight Viewer?

Our Integrity iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) Viewer is a completely separate application from the Silverlight Viewer.  In turn, there would be a separate fee for this.

We have an “online” version at this point in time which requires a persistent internet connection to function. There is also an “offline” version in beta-testing which adds editing functionality, photo attachments and does not require an internet connection.  The nice thing is that it will reference the exact same GIS database as the Silverlight Viewer so they provide distinct tool-sets while working seamlessly together for a better overall GIS development experience.

    Resource Tip

We  have a two part introduction video series that will walk you through the app which you can check out in our video center. You can try out a free demonstration of the app to follow along with the videos here.

There’s an implementation fee and annual maintenance and support fee for the Integrity iOS Viewer.  If you have the Integrity Silverlight Viewer, the implementation fee for the mobile app could be provided at a reduced fee.
