Release notes updated January 9th, 2012

We’re ringing the new year in with style by updating your site to version 2.1! As the first major update of the new Integrity 2.0 platform (launched in October 2011) we thought it best to focus on usability, customer feedback and performance improvements. Thus we have emphasized reworking the drawing tool, adding advanced search options for geocoding (i.e. search for 5th and market), making the search experience much easier, applying numerous performance fixes, and addressing several bugs.

Table of Contents

General

  • Drawing / Measure : Based on your feedback we are making several improvements to the drawing / measure system. Auto-generated measurements will no longer cover up the drawings at inconvenient zoom extents and area measurements are displayed in the Drawing / Measuring toolbar.
  • 64-bit browser support : Integrity now works on 64-bit Internet Explorer 9 and also Waterfox (a 64-bit variant of Mozilla Firefox). Using a 64-bit browser allows Integrity to take full advantage of your system’s RAM (random access memory) and other hardware resources.
  • Loading bars : There is now a functioning progress bar on the splash screen and map document that appears while Integrity is loading or processing a user request.

New Features

  • Autosearch : Just start typing anything – an address, name, etc. – and a dropdown menu will pop-up with all the closest matches to the text you’ve entered.
  • Create Map Link : You will notice a new “Create Map Link” button located just below the Quicksearch box which creates a unique website URL for the current map extent you’re viewing. This lets you share the link via email, word document, etc.
  • Geocoding : This new mode for quicksearch allows you to search by an address or intersection, such as “501 N. Market” or “Market and Fifth”.

Performance Improvements

  • Silverlight 5 is here! Users will notice significant overall performance improvements and faster loading times. When 2.1 is released in January 2012 you will be prompted to install Silverlight 5 upon visiting your website.
  • Cursors : should now move more smoothly and require less CPU power.
  • Site Dashboard : Switching between menus should now be much more fluid and less choppy.
  • Accessing and navigating through Integrity is generally more fluid.
  • Fixed a visual glitch with the site dashboard that occurred when switching to and from the Help view.
  • The site dashboard will now always be centered upon entering the site. In some instances it would not be properly centered resulting in some odd behavior, thus we have resolved this bug.
  • Resolved issue with the Layers window crashing when the Reset button is clicked.
  • A bug causing the hit areas on buttons to be erratic in certain Windows and Macintosh user environments has been resolved.

I have several comments about this Integrity GIS. Very customer unfriendly. I use this several times a day for work. I would to be able to print a parcel or portion of parcel as large as I would like; not limited by your parameters. I would like to have the option to print all the parcel info with a picture like on the old GIS. Thanks for fixing the measuring tool, that was really frustrating. The Autosearch is now over on my Layers icon a bit. I seem to be able to see another icon under the Autosearch, but can’t move anything to see what it is.

      Nina,

We’re very sorry you’re having issues using Integrity. You might check that your computer and screen resolution comply with our technical requirements which you can find here – that may explain the issue you’re having with the autosearch popping up over the layers icon as our lowest supported monitor resolution is 1024×768. At anything lower the search box will begin covering the other tool icons.

To print a parcel’s attribute info:

      Print Parcel Info

      • Locate and identify the parcel. Once you do this you should see the parcel info in the results pane (see image above).
      • Click the print icon located in the furthest left column which will bring up the print window.
      • You can adjust your map as you see fit – you will also notice a forward / back arrow which will say something like Page 1 of 2. Click the darkened arrow to view the attributes.
      • Now just click print and you will get an 8.5 x 11 inch version of the parcel along with a second page displaying its attribute info.
      • If you seem to be missing some attribute info make sure you’re preferred map layers are turned on, they will not appear on the attribute page if turned off.

As for printing multiple sizes, there is a roundabout way you can do this – instead of printing you can click Export and create a PDF of your map, which you can then size however you would like. Unfortunately due to the nature of ArcGIS Server, at this time we are limited to allowing only 8.5 x 11 inch print sizes. In the future we hope to allow for bigger sizes.

Let us know if this helped and again we apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced.

      Thanks!
